AVENUES launches ‘Communities for well-being’ initiative

SHILLONG, Oct 11: AVENUES launched its ‘Communities for well-being’ initiative, on Tuesday, through team building activities and conversations on well being and mental health, in an event held in the city.

In an effort to promote well being in the society, the initiative seeks to create a model framework of excellence for safe spaces that nurture authentic human conversations around mental health in communities.

SHILLONG, Apr 5: A total of 42 teachers of Little Flower Secondary School, Dadenggre, West Garo Hills, graduated from ‘Teaching for Tomorrow’, a training programme for teachers, which has been initiated by Avenues.
The graduation ceremony was organised on Wednesday at the school, during which the teachers expressed elation at the training initiative.

Have a competitive mindset, fight as if you need to survive: Conrad to youth at Aspire Meghalaya’s District Talent Events 2022 in Shillong

Shillong, Oct 19: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Wednesday asked the students and youth to have a competitive mindset, by which he meant positive competition and not negative competition, and move away from the reservation policy based mindset. He urged them to be prepared to compete with the best and ‘fight as if you need to survive’.
